The Falkensteiner Schlosshotel Velden hotel, part of the Leading Hotels of the World is five star indulgence and nothing short of bliss. Located in the middle of breathtaking landscapes, Lake Wörthersee, is the largest and warmest alpine lake in Europe, in the south of Carinthia, the most sunkissed region of Austria.

A past rich in history and tradition, the Schlosshotel Velden welcomes guests, including your four legged furry friends in princely rooms, elegantly decorated, and offers a selection of restaurants offering excellent culinary dining with magnificent panoramic view over Lake Wörthersee.

A contrast of modern architecture and historical grandeur, the original Renaissance castle was built around 1590 as the residence of Count Bartholomew Khevenhüller (1539–1613), Freiherr of Landskron, who had served as minister of the Austrian interior Archduke Charles II.

As a ‘Welcome Dog’ hotel, Schlosshotel Velden is not only happy to take care of your needs, but will ensure your four-legged family members are also welcomed in style. A feel-good experience for all!

Your dog is welcome to accompany you to the lobby, the Seespitz Restaurant & Living, the Salons Restaurant & Atelier, the Schlossbar Charly Walker and to breakfast (at the rear part of the Ballroom or at the Ballroom terrace). You just need to advise in advance if you would like to take your dog to breakfast so that the hotel staff can prepare an appropriate table for you. You should also be aware that you cannot reserve a table on the Ballroom terrace.

Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in the wellness areas, such as the spa area and the beach club.

In addition, you must be aware that dogs must be kept on a leash in all public areas in the hotel.

The hotel also offers Veterinarian contacts on request if required.
