“We long for an affection altogether ignorant of our faults.

Heaven has accorded this to us in the uncritical canine attachment.”

George Eliot

UNITED KINGDOM

Green rolling hills, quaint villages with cobbled streets, historic cottages with thatched roofs, red buses, black cabs, Old Blighty, the land of the Rose and the Royal Family…

When you think of the United Kingdom, iconic tourist destinations come to mind such as London, Oxford, Cambridge, York, The Cotswolds, Edinburgh and Cardiff. Then, there are legendary monuments like Big Ben, Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, Windsor Castle, Edinburgh Castle and Stonehenge. Then, there’s William Shakespeare, Winston Churchill, David Beckham, The Spice Girls, The Rolling Stones and The Beatles. All truly iconic but one can’t imagine a visit without a traditional Sunday roast at a quintessential pub somewhere along the River Thames, or afternoon tea at the Ritz or strawberries and cream at Wimbledon. Although it may not be quite as dog friendly as continental Europe, the United Kingdom still has a variety of choice in the finest luxury hotels that welcome our four legged friends. And considering that over 13 million households across the United Kingdom have dogs as pets, there is certainly a higher demand and understanding that our four legged friends will join us on a luxury getaway.
