Staying at Hotel Grand Atlantic means that Lake Alster is on the doorstep and walking along the lake with your dog is one of the prettiest routes the city has to offer. Make sure you explore the blue-water world on foot, as well as the many green spaces with fabulous views. The short Alster loop is approximately 3 km, while the long circuit is more than 7km when you start from doorstep of the Atlantic.
A short walk from the hotel you will find the historic Altstadt, an array of shops, restaurants and cultural sights, including the Kunsthalle and the Kunst and Gewerbe Museum. The Hamburg Central Station is approximately 500 metres away.
