Set in between extensive parks, a vineyard, herb gardens, apiaries, an orchard, a rose garden and a church with 18th century frescoes, Château St. Gerlach is located on the edge of the Ingendael nature reserve, just outside Maastricht city centre in the beautiful Geul Valley.

The Château St Gerlach, a member of the Oostwegel Collection and the prestigious Relais & Châteaux group, has been beautifully restored to provide an extremely luxurious hotel experience for you and your four legged accompanied guests.

Dating back to the year 1200, the Château St. Gerlach was once a monastery built to accommodate pilgrims who had come to pay homage to hermit Gerlach of Houthem.

The historic buildings, including original estate farmhouse, convent and grain lofts, now house the exquisitely decorated spacious guestrooms and Suites with enchanting views of Baroque gardens. The iconic Tower Suites are located in the southern corner towers of the former farmhouse. The suites have stunning panoramic views of the nature reserve of Ingendael and a distinctive spiral staircase connects the sitting area and the bedroom in this very spacious room. Be aware that access to the Tower Suite is only via the stairs, but the hotel staff are more than happy to help with your luggage.

Renowned for its artisanal gastronomic offering, Oostwegel Collection offers a range of culinary options with a selection of restaurants. Les Salons restaurant, formerly the living quarters of Baron de Selys de Fanson serves fine French cuisine with a seasonal menu prepared by Chef Guido Le Bron de Vexela. The Bistrot de Liège, located in the Manor Farm offers guests appetising dishes from the region in a more informal setting.

There is a Roman-style indoor pool, as well as a boutique spa with a sauna and turkish bath on the property.
