Located in right in the centre of town, it is within walking distance to many wonderful sites and attractions, including the colourful and picturesque neighbourhood of Bakklandet.

An incredible history dating back to 1870 when the hotel was first opened by Andreas Myhre, welcoming eight British ‘Salmon Lords’, two American gentlemen and their helpers. Now more than 150 years on, the hotel has welcomed people from far and near from royalty to rock stars travelling to experience Britannia Hotel’s unique blend of hospitality and atmosphere.

The hotel offers relaxing spa facilities and fine dining at one of several restaurants. Guests can also be collected from the airport in the hotel’s very own electric London Black Cab.

Trondheim is Norway’s third largest city and was once the Viking capital of Norway. People have been drawn to the region because of the seafood-rich fjords and vast mountains filled with wildlife and some of the most fertile soil in the country. A worthwhile pilgrimage for foodies, Trondheim is the ultimate culinary experience.

You wont be short of things to do with your four-legged travelling companion, as Trondheim is a very pet friendly city.

Several of the restaurants in Trondheim have dog-friendly outdoor seating and offer fresh water on request for your furry friend. At Ladekaia and Baklandet Skydsstasjon, there are designated indoor areas for dogs. Your pets are welcome in many of the Cafés, bookstores, galleries and museums, such as the Sverresborg Folk Museum.

Nothing makes the dog more happy than to go on a walk in the wild. There are endless tracks to discover all within walking distance from the hotel.
