Grand House Algarve is a beautiful boutique heritage hotel that sits right on the marina, in the heart of the historic town of Vila Real de Santo António A member of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux group, this stunning Belle Epoque hotel is pet friendly, happily welcoming guests with their accompanied four legged friends.

A revived Grand Dame that was given a new lease of life, the grandeur of the 20th-century building has been preserved in its renovation. The fully-restored building from 1926, situated in the Algarve’s eastern most corner, is located by the Guadiana River, the river that divides the Algarve from Spain, and offers views of the harbour and the neighbouring Spanish town of Ayamonte.

Honouring the hotel’s rich history, the beautiful, light-filled guestrooms and suites boast an array of design details, including intricate moulding, antique pieces and crystal-festooned chandeliers treasuring the glamour of the “roaring twenties” era giving an aristocratic feel.

Guests can enjoy the exotic traditions of Portuguese cuisine at the Grand Salon. A culinary experience focussing on Portuguese gastronomic heritage where chef Marcos Sousa creates a fine selection of dishes supporting local agriculture and produce.

Guests can enjoy a drink at the Grand Salon Bar, or may choose to dine on the terrace at the stylish Beach Club restaurant for a more relaxed atmosphere and casual dining, such as ceviche, fresh octopus, grilled meats, gourmet pizzas, barbequed fish and much more, or soak up one of the magical sunsets at the Grand Secret Garden.
