The majestic Château d’Artigny, a luxury five star hotel, dreamt up during the Belle Époque, is an 18th century style Château which was built between 1912 and 1928 to serve as residence to perfumer François Coty. It is almost an exact copy of the Château de Champlâtreux in the Val d’Oise.

Located in the commune of Montbazon, in the department of Indre-et-Loire in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France, it is set on 25 hectares of stunning parkland, with manicured gardens, lavish architectural features, marble statues and unusual trompe l’oeil frescoes, it is the perfect base for those visiting the famous Loire appellation such as Vouvray, Azay-le-Rideau and Chinon.

The Château d’Artigny offers 65 palatial bedrooms across five different categories, situated in the Château itself, in the Ariane Pavillion or in the Fragrance House. Hervé Guttin has been Chef at the Château d’Artigny since September 2017 and has created a menu that reflects the traditions, the richness of the region married with a curiosity for world cuisine. The 2 dining rooms are elegantly decorated in period style featuring marble floors and gilded pillars. The Château also features an impressive wine cellar.

The grounds of this impressive Château are ideal for long walks and discovery. Guests can also indulge in peaceful moments of relaxation at the hotel Spa, which also includes a Jacuzzi, Sauna and Hammam. There is also an outdoor swimming pool, where you pets are also welcome to join you, but must be on a leash.

There is so much in the Loire Valley to discover and explore. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is right on the doorstep of this incredible Château. The city of Tours is 15km away and is also known for its gastronomy and cultural sites including Place Plumereau and Saint-Martin Cathedral.

The châteaux of Villandry, Rigny-Ussé and Azay-le-Rideau are all worth of visiting and famous for gardens, tapestries and paintings and are only 30 minutes away

For those keen to walk to the greens for a round or two of golf, you find the Golf de Ballan-Miré, considered one of the best courses in the region a short drive from the Château about 17km away.
