Situated amongst the blissful rolling vineyards of Champagne, you’ll discover this magnificent Château de Sacy, Maison du Groupe Millésime. The three-story château, which dates back to 1850, holds a striking figure with its decorative brickwork as it stands high on the mountain of Reims in the charming village of Sacy. And welcomes you and your four legged friends.
This charming 19th century mansion was recreated from ruins, with all interior spaces simplified and the château’s heritage displayed in the impressive collection of antique one-offs, from armoires to paperweights through the hotel.
An intimate establishment, housing just 12 guestrooms, it’s the perfectly peaceful retreat that will never be crowded. Every room is individually decorated with a mixture of contemporary furniture and antiques, floor-to-ceiling windows, really making the landscape part of the experience. Decorated in beautiful light colours, the Marie Antoinette room offers stunning views over the vineyards, whilst the Winston Churchill suite, is more spacious and handsomely decorated with a pale green tartan headboard, and a British army military map of the Champagne country from World War II. All of the rooms have parquet floors, large comfortable beds, and white marble bathrooms. Some have bathtubs, other with showers, although there are a select few that offer both.
The hotel’s restaurant sits on the first floor boasting panoramic views across the vineyards and offering an authentic cuisine of local produce from the region and a unique, refined and sophisticated menu that naturally pairs with extensive list of champagnes. The hotel bar is also the perfect spot to breath in the remarkable views across the vineyards.
You can also hire bikes to cycle through the vineyards, exploring the undulating landscapes. The hotel is absolutely enchanting with friendly, efficient and very attentive staff. No request is too much trouble and they will do whatever they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
The hotel sits just outside of the small village of Sacy, and is about 20 minutes from Reims. Reims is only a 45 minute train ride from Paris. The hotel is ideally situated to visit the endless number of champagne houses of the region.
