The Hôtel Scribe even served as the Parisian residence for the iconic French-American actress, Josephine Baker. The 2nd floor is dedicated to the well-known music legend.

Auguste and Louis Lumière held the first showing of their Cinematograph at the hotel back in 1895. The event marked the birth of the modern cinema! The restaurant, Le Lumière, is a tribute to the Lumière brothers.
